About the Artwork
Clarity is a 48" × 48" acrylic on canvas painting by Jenna D. Robinson. Jenna is a Canadian artist whose acrylic landscape paintings draw on mountain and backcountry source material, with particular attention to colour, contrast, and changing light.
This square lake composition presents clear water, submerged stones, evergreen shoreline, and reflected mountain forms. The lower foreground contains rounded stones visible below blue and turquoise water. A dark forest line separates the lake from the mountain range above, while pink, coral, pale yellow, blue, and violet tones define the peaks and their reflection. The central reflection extends downward through the composition, linking the upper mountain forms with the textured lakebed in the foreground.

Accessibility Description
The painting is a square landscape centred on an alpine lake. The lower foreground shows clear blue and turquoise water with large submerged stones visible beneath the surface. The stones are irregular in shape and painted in green, teal, and dark blue. Across the middle of the canvas, a dark band of evergreen forest marks the far shoreline. Behind the trees, a range of mountain peaks rises across the upper half. The peaks are painted with pink, coral, pale yellow, blue, and violet areas, with snow-like white bands crossing some of the slopes. The mountains are reflected in the lake, creating inverted pink and blue forms that extend downward into the water. The left side contains a dark triangular slope, while the right side shows a dense forest edge continuing into the reflection. The sky is pale blue with a few small light clouds near the peaks. The artist's signature appears in the lower left corner.

Artwork Care
CARING FOR YOUR ARTWORK
Display
Hang artwork away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and air vents. UV exposure causes fading over time — UV-protective glazing is recommended for works on paper and photography. Avoid hanging artwork above fireplaces or in bathrooms where heat and humidity fluctuate.
Cleaning
Dust frames gently with a soft, dry cloth. Never use household cleaners, water, or solvents on the artwork surface. For oil paintings, a soft-bristle brush can be used lightly to remove surface dust. Professional cleaning is recommended for valuable or delicate pieces.
Temperature & Humidity
Maintain a stable environment — ideally 18–22°C (65–72°F) with 40–55% relative humidity. Rapid changes in temperature or humidity can cause warping, cracking, or flaking. In Alberta’s dry climate, a humidifier can help protect your collection during winter months.
Handling & Moving
Always handle artwork with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves. Carry framed works by the sides of the frame — never by the hanging wire. When transporting, wrap in acid-free tissue or soft blankets and keep upright. For valuable pieces, professional art handlers and custom crating are recommended.
Storage
Store artwork upright in a cool, dry, dark space. Use acid-free materials for wrapping. Never store artwork in attics, basements, or garages where temperature and humidity are uncontrolled.
Insurance
We recommend insuring your art collection. An up-to-date appraisal (every 2–3 years) ensures proper coverage. West End Gallery offers professional appraisal services — please enquire for details.
