The Great Blueberry Standoff is a 16" x 20" acrylic painting by Grant Leier created on canvas. We find ourselves in the position of an observer. All adorned in a riot of colours; one boasts a headpiece of iridescent feathers spanning shades from sunrise orange to deep sea blue, while the other counters with a sunlit glow of lemon and tangerine, detailed with emerald green accents. Their plumage is a multicolour display of patterns and textures, from polka-dotted wings to checkered tails, each feather a meticulous stroke of colour. The background is a rich tapestry of royal purple, where whimsical shapes and botanical motifs in shades of lavender, gold, and sky blue interact, giving a playful context to the birds' stalemate.
