About the Artwork
Power Couple is a 20" x 16" acrylic painting by Grant Leier created on canvas. The painting is bursting with energy that only Leier can cast upon a blank canvas. Two figures, each with a unique blend of colours and textures, positioned to lead your eyes up, from right to left. One bird is blue with touches of crimson, while the other is amber and tangerine with splashes of viridian. They are set in a backdrop where magenta fades into crimson and olive green, each section accented with the intention that mirrors the birds' plumage. The flora and berries in the scene share the same vivid palette, creating a seamless visual journey across the canvas. Leier makes suggestions with his compositions but leaves the narration up to the viewer.
