New Glass from Bob Leatherbarrow!

The West End Gallery in Victoria has received a selection of new glass pieces from Saltspring Island glass artist, Bob Leatherbarrow!

As a glass artist he uses glass powder in kiln-formed glass to continue his exploration of subtle colours and the delicate beauty of naturally occurring textures. Textures are a key part of our everyday visual landscape and through them we interpret the origin and evolution of everything from mud cracks in rocks to the wrinkled skin of the elderly. Textures are important because they tell stories. Stories are important because they define our reality.

Among these pieces is a donation for Ukraine, graciously donated by the artist.

To view all new arrivals, visit Bob's artist page, or stop by our location in downtown Victoria to see them in person!
