A New Chapter Begins at the West End Gallery!

It has been a transitional year for the West End Gallery. In January 2022, Dan & Lana accepted my offer to purchase the West End Gallery Ltd. It has been many years in the making; you might even say a lifetime, as I grew up in the gallery and have spent many years working within it.

My wife, Jennifer, and I have committed ourselves to the stewardship and ongoing growth of the West End Gallery.

Dan and Lana will continue to be a part of the gallery; their contributions may just be arriving from a warm beach in Mexico!

We have a lot to be thankful for this year.

The continuing success of this gallery does not stand on the shoulders of one but many people - Our dedicated team of Amy, Cole, Dallas & Dersu in Victoria and our incredible artist's dedication to continuing to contribute to Canadian art and culture.

We are also incredibly thankful to you! This small business that started in 1975 continues because of the loyal support of our supporters.

Kind regards,

Matthew & Jen Hudon

Behind the Blooms: The Making of Breath of Life

05 March, 2024 3 min read

Breath of Life began with a drawing, a simple yet powerful blueprint for what would become a life-sized celebration of nature. In the concept sketches, we see the genesis of her vision—clusters of peonies rendered in loose, confident strokes.
