In April 2022, our gallery and a group of talented artists organized a special exhibition to support those affected by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. The exhibition featured a diverse collection of artworks, each created by one of the participating artists.
The funds raised through the exhibition have been donated to the Ed Stelmach Foundation to help families in Ukraine who are in dire need of assistance. This initiative aims to provide support to displaced individuals who have come to Canada seeking refuge or who have chosen to make Alberta their new home.
This exhibition serves as a reminder of the power of art to not only inspire and move us emotionally but also to contribute to something greater than ourselves.
It's important to mention that the funds will support temporary and permanent resettlement in Alberta for those affected by the Ukraine crisis. Helping families and individuals rebuild their lives and start anew in a new country, with access to the resources and support they need to thrive. We are incredibly proud to have patrons of arts, and the West End Gallery, support this endeavour. Thank you.
The West End Gallery and accompanying artists have come together to create a unique exhibition supporting the people of Ukraine. Our gallery and participating artists will donate 100% of the monies raised to help families in need during this humanitarian crisis. We aim to support the displaced people of Ukraine who have come to Canada to seek temporary shelter or begin a new life in Alberta.
Please note that the artwork displayed below is not the complete collection that was promoted for this event. This is a curated the collection to highlight some of the paintings that were created for this project.
