Pierre Giroux, now living in Cornwall, Ontario, began his artistic education in Toronto at the Ontario College of Arts and Design, later studying in Florence, Italy. Inspired by abandoned farmhouses in Italy and a transformative gallery visit in Paris, his work celebrates the spaces we inhabit. Drawing on his experiences in Europe and Canada, Giroux's paintings explore classical architecture, blending reality with slight surrealism. His art, influenced by the Italian Renaissance, invites viewers to engage with light-filled interiors and landscapes, evoking memories and emotions tied to various spaces.
