Born and raised in Hearst, a small French-speaking town in northern Ontario, she embraces her upbringing dearly and feels it has a significant influence on her identity. Her love for fine arts grew on her as she began undergrad studies in public communications at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Painting began as a therapeutic medium, but it quickly became a passion.
An abstract expressionist painter, she favours both her intuition and a colour superposition technique to create paintings filled with positive energy. The music she selects during her creative process is nostalgic and melancholic. Low-frequency music allows her to transform profound emotions into something beautiful and inspiring.
Vé has had early success in her career as an emerging artist. Her paintings have been featured on “Hubert et Fanny,” a Radio- Canada TV sitcom and publications such as Le Soleil (Québec, QC), Radio-Canada (Montréal, QC) and featured in House and Garden (United Kingdom: The Art Edit (February 2018). Vé Boisvert’s artwork has been collected in Eastern Canada, England and the United States.
