New Paintings from Rod Charlesworth in Victoria

Rod’s sensitivity for capturing the vast Canadian landscape is unparalleled. His work, whether bold landscapes or whimsical images of children at play, is collected worldwide, and he is more committed than ever to painting images that have a strong Canadian cultural influence.

Blending techniques from the impressionist school mixed with Group of Seven sensibilities, Rod’s splashes of bright colour perfectly describe the wild texture of the Canadian landscape. They are part of his signature style that identifies each piece as a Rod Charlesworth painting.

What initially inspired me to paint was how we all see the world differently. I wanted to strike my own visual language that could be used to portray the Canadian landscape in all of its rugged subtleties.” -Rod Charlesworth
