Accidental Beach | 36" x 36"

About the Artwork

Accidental Beach is a 36"x36" acrylic on canvas painting by Fraser Brinsmead created on a deep profile canvas. This vibrant work of art captures an ephemeral moment in Edmonton's history when a new accidental beach emerged along the North Saskatchewan River and near the Cloverdale neighbourhood in 2017 and 2018. The beach, though short in duration, quickly became a popular destination for Edmontonians. The painting presents a scene of the beach, complete with a view of the new Tawatinâ LRT bridge and Edmontonians enjoying the river.
