Carole Arnston

Carole Arnston is a West Coast based artist with a diverse background in design. Dramatic and
gestural her style is built on the abstract impressionistic influences of Bonnard, Frankenthaler,
Joan Mitchell and Georgia O’ Keefe. Using oil based paints she is able to layer and capture
fleeting moments from the landscapes that surround her. Hints of wild flowers, gardens and the
West Coast are created using broad brush strokes enhanced with a painting knife and colour
blending, constructing her own lyrical abstraction. Featured in numerous corporate and private
collections with shows and gallery representation across North America Edmonton is pleased to
present Carole’ s first solo show at West End Galleries.
