Gerald Sevier

Gerry Sevier was born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1934. Gerry was an illustrator for 45 years, winning many awards from Art Director’s shows in Toronto and New York. Since 1976, Gerry has been an elected member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts. In 1963 he became a member of the Ontario Society of Artists and served as its president from 1970-73. In 2001 he received a lifetime achievement award for illustration from the Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators in Communications (CAPIC). From 1965 to 1995 he taught design and illustration at the Ontario College of Art. In addition to these outstanding achievements, Gerry has had a career as a painter. Since 1961 he has had over 25 one-man shows and his paintings are in more than 150 corporate collections.
